Divorce – What Does “Contested” Mean?

Divorces (or dissolutions of marriage as they are properly called) fall into two general categories – contested and uncontested. All uncontested means is that both parties can agree on everything. If you cannot agree on the division of assets or time sharing for the child/children, it is going to be considered a contested dissolution of marriage.

NOTE: An uncontested divorce will be MUCH easier and cheaper for both sides!
