WHO WE REPRESENT

Types of Crime Victims Fighter Law Represents

Fighter Law represents victims across a range of criminal cases in Central Florida. Our role is to protect your rights under Marsy’s Law, advocate for you within the criminal process, pursue civil claims where available, and help you access compensation and protective orders. Below are the victim types we most commonly represent.

Domestic Violence Victims

Victims of domestic violence face a complicated legal landscape — criminal proceedings, injunction hearings, and civil claims often run simultaneously. We represent domestic violence victims to ensure their safety and rights are prioritized at every stage, from the initial injunction through the criminal trial.

Sexual Battery & Assault Victims

Sexual battery and assault cases require sensitivity, confidentiality, and a clear legal strategy. Fighter Law represents victims in the criminal proceedings and can pursue civil damages against the perpetrator. We work to ensure your voice is heard and that the prosecution proceeds in your best interest.

Stalking & Cyberstalking Victims

Stalking and cyberstalking can escalate quickly. Florida’s stalking injunction provides legal protection, and criminal charges can result in significant penalties for the perpetrator. We help victims obtain injunctions, enforce their terms, and navigate criminal proceedings as they develop.

Child Abuse Victims

Child abuse cases — physical, sexual, and emotional — require experienced, compassionate representation. We advocate for child victims and their families throughout the criminal process, including victim impact statements, protective orders, and civil claims when applicable.

Assault & Battery Victims

If you were physically attacked, you are both a victim in a criminal case and a potential plaintiff in a civil lawsuit. Fighter Law represents assault and battery victims on both fronts — ensuring the criminal case accounts for your injuries and pursuing civil damages for medical bills, lost income, and pain and suffering.

Negligent Security Victims

If you were harmed due to inadequate security at a business, apartment complex, parking garage, or other property, the property owner may be civilly liable. Negligent security cases arise when a foreseeable crime occurs because a property failed to provide adequate lighting, staffing, or access control. These cases run separately from any criminal proceedings.

Victim Compensation Program Claims

Florida’s Victim Compensation Program (VCP) provides financial assistance to eligible crime victims, including coverage for medical treatment, mental health counseling, lost wages, and funeral expenses. Fighter Law helps victims determine eligibility, gather supporting documentation, and submit complete applications to maximize their compensation.

Fighter Law represents victims — not defendants — in these matters. Each case type above involves a distinct legal process. Contact us for a confidential consultation to understand your options.
